If Stupak endorses Obama, why did he vote No?

Let's have a little refresher course.  Stupak was against the drilling before he was for it, then against it again.  Stupak is against the "bailout" but Obama is for it.  Stupak has heard from "thousands" of constituents who were against the bailout.  Stupak thinks the bailout is values based. Hmmmm.  Hey Stuie, that don't jive with your comments from June.

"One issue has been resoundingly clear throughout this primary process: Americans do not want four more years of the same failed policies that have driven our country deeper into debt and tarnished our reputation in the world. Senator Obama will provide the change we need to get our country back on track to prosperity and prominence."
    ~Congressman Bart Stupak
    June 2008

Senator Obama voted for the bailout which is against Northern Michigan principles.

"I agree we should let the market work and stop handing Congress billions of dollars with no oversight."

    or

"I think that any congressman or congresswoman with their hands in the till during any part of this financial fiasco should be voted out of office."

There, Stuie, two examples of what you should have said.

Ladies and Gentlemen, do what you can to thwart Stupak's run this time.  End it.

from this and many other things, we now have proof that an urgent issue was deemed less important then partisan interests.

More interested in doing something against McCain, knowing they had cover to say that it's now a better bill and vote again.

More interested in election and reelection tactics.

More interested in putting Barney Frank in a position to prop him up, pretend like Chris Dodd didn't suggest ACORN be bailed, pretend that ACORN isn't beyond redemption.

Some of the things they say still sound plausible to their base.

Her zeal for her ideology, saying she is all Bushy but it's all Bush's fault, implying this started 7-8 yrs ago, along with her total lack of leadership and partisan ploys, has painted her in a corner and her cohorts are leaving the name 'Pelosi' out of any statements.
